Schlossplatz 1, Oranienburg
The restaurant is in a very nice location at Oranienburg Castle, is very cozy, and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu isn't that extensive, thank god. very good vegetarian / vegan offer, good wines. There was a choice of bread with white and brown bread for the starter! We had booked for a family dinner and it all tasted good, the prices are absolutely okay for the quality offered. Thank you for the good hospitality!
The dishes were as delicious as they were for us, especially for us as vegetarians. Service very friendly.
A traditional restaurant that has been located in Oranienburg for a long time. The food is delicious. There is regional cuisine and dishes with seasonal offers. For me the most beautiful location in Oranienburg to eat and enjoy.
Unfortunately we were there for the first and last time. We were four girls on Saturday at the pottery market in Oranienburg and wanted to end the day nicely in the castle restaurant. 5-6 tables were reserved outside and the other tables were occupied. After asking nice if we could use one of the reserved tables for 30 minutes until the guests of a reserved table came, I got an unfriendly, irritated look from the waiter and with a raised eyebrow I was told that it would not be possible. This was noticed by a couple who just wanted to leave and kindly offered us the table that became free. The unfriendly waiter then came to the table. When asked whether we can take the table or whether it is reserved, we got the snippy answer that he still decides who gets a table. Since we were the only ones looking for a table, it was pretty incomprehensible. Of course we left immediately. Such behavior is outrageous. Although you might think that after the Corona lockdown every host is dependent on guests.
The food tasted very good. I knew beforehand that it was expensive there. The waitress was grumpy or didn't want to understand me. After the flower pot had blown over in the wind 5 times and all the sand on the tablecloth flew back and forth, I asked her several times to clear it away. Either she is hard of hearing or ... In any case, she did not react at all. She put our beer on the edge of the 5-seat table, even though we were sitting on the other side. Was it too much for her to serve us the glass directly at our place, as it should be. The waiter wanted to look funny, but it was impossible. When asked whether you could get potatoes instead of polenta, a snappy counter-question came up. "What kind of potatoes?" We replied: "Well, normal potatoes. Boiled potatoes, if you call them that." His answer: "We don't have potatoes." Then I (kindly): "What, you have no potatoes?" His answer (snuggly): "Did you iii see potatoes anywhere on the dish? No, so we don't have any." (That should be funny, but it was annoying.) I just meant that I didn't read through every dish. But see rosemary potatoes and think they are potatoes. He brought this too. I then put my completely empty plate for the waitress on the edge of the table so that she can take it away with her. She came and asked bored: "Can it go?" I just said that there is no more food on it and I think that it can go away. She then told me that I had put the cutlery down the wrong way and that you can't tell if I'm full. My face ...... She didn't even ask if it tasted good. Put beer somewhere on the edge. Teach us and do not clear away the constantly tipping pot ..... Nevertheless, I asked her to tell the chef that it was delicious. It really did. And it was plentiful too. We just wanted to go then. We treated ourselves to our coffee after dinner and a dessert somewhere else.
Nice location at the castle with a view of the water. Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. The rice was hard, the veal roasted to death. Maybe we'd be unlucky. The prices are high and couldn't be reflected in the quality of the food.
Very good food and even better service. We always like to come back.
Great, slightly upscale cuisine. Friendly staff. Nice location. Today with some waiting time, but with the tables fully occupied.
Price-performance ratio is not right! Food ok but too expensive. Unfriendly staff. Very long waiting times. We sat for 15 minutes until someone came and waited 1 hour for the food after ordering
We were here - by reservation - with a larger group for lunch. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the dishes. Unfortunately, we still didn't leave the restaurant with a positive impression. The waiting times were just too long, having to wait an hour for children to eat is far too long. In addition, the food was completely forgotten by two people, who received their food only 15 minutes later. We would certainly not come here again.
Always impressed. The food is always good and fresh. The location is fantastically located at Oranienburg Palace with a terrace on the canal. The staff is always friendly and courteous.
We were there for the first time last night because it was recommended to us several times a while ago. I haven't eaten such delicious food in a long time. From the soup to the salad it was so delicious. Now, in August, we will have a slightly larger meal there. The service is very nice and comes well afterwards.
Really nice restaurant. The wines are really really great and the service is great too! Thank you!
Very nice atmosphere, very good food, great service. They were generous portions. There were four of us here (pre-ordered) and everyone enjoyed it very much. The raw vegetable salad with its dressing was really great, my fillet of beef was great, as were the side dishes. Keep it up.
Great restaurant. German cuisine. Only a small card was missing. Staff were friendly and correct. Nice ambiance in the castle.
The waiter didn't speak good English but still made us feel very welcome and tried his best. The menu was vast and the portion sizes are very large. I reccomend sharing the starters. Food was great quality especially the rabbit and pork medallions. Really good quality and interesting location. Hard to find where to park in the dark however the atmosphere made up for it x
Very pleasant restaurant on the water with a very good menu, we loved it. We stopped there by canoe and ate. The steak plate for 2 was a dream and very rich. 👍👍
beautiful place, great food
cool!
On our visit to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, he had planned to have lunch here after a long walk and we missed the bus back and it was snowing, we arrived at this restaurant, so warm and comfortable. The only but we had is that the menu was only in German, but we managed well and ate wonderfully.
Unfortunately, praise to the staff is rarely found these days. The food was of course tasty.
There were four of us in the castle restaurant Oranienburg in April 2018 and had a very nice stay. The service was extremely friendly and the food was great too. As you can see in the pictures, I had goat cheese as a starter with a little bread and salad, then asparagus with ham and also a salad, which is served with every main course. At the end there was a great, homemade chocolate cake and a hot cocoa with cream. We all enjoyed it very much and should we be in Oranienburg again, we know where to eat well and comfortably. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!
We celebrated our wedding here with twenty guests last week. The best decision ever. Both we and our guests felt very comfortable and were full of praise ... the very, very delicious food, the very good wine selection, the beautiful ambience and of course the great service made our day an unforgettable and wonderful experience. We thank the whole team very, very much.
Cozy, small, on the river outside, cool breeze, relaxing good ICE coffee and deserts
